Melissa McVie Education and Communications Manager of Ontario presents on how Recreation Professionals can support Residents’ Council operations. She will introduce OARC, the role/scope of Ministry-mandated Residents’ Councils and the role of the Residents’ Council Assistant who is often the Programs Manager or Recreation team member in the LTC home. She will be joined by a resident to join, as everything they do is guided by the voice and lived experiences of residents.
